Planting Pingle Wood (1996)
This engraving commemorates the planting of a wood
by the local community. My sons are busy with their trees.
My wife can be seen to the right of the centre of the image,
looking down at her handiwork. The composition of the
image is partly dictated by the natural shape of the block.

Engraved on a homemade boxwood block and printed by the artist
in an edition of 100 copies on Zerkall paper, using a Victorian platen press.
