I Saw Three Ships (1998)

This illustration to the carol was first used as a family
Christmas card. It is very much a composite image. The ships
are very much what might be seen on East Anglian waterways.
The back of my son's head was actually sketched at a football
match. Once again, I use my favourite vertical format.

Engraved and printed by the artist in an edition of 100
copies on Zerkall paper using a Vandercook proof press.
